Randy Lee Arnold, 36, Spencer, died Friday at Spencer Municipal Hospital

Funeral services for Mr. Arnold were held Monday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spencer with the Rev. Timothy Schott officiating

Casket Bearers; Marc Heien, Kevin Lee, Kirk Anderson, Lynn Quadhamer, Curt Schnell and Ken Borth

Honorary Casket Bearers; Kevin Horville, Rick Kaiser, Donn Mauw, Rocky O'Hara, Sam Chapman, Lance Kruse, Ed Umscheid and Jim Nelson

The son of Lee and Dorothy (Pater) Arnold, he was born May 30, 1953 in Worthington, Minnesota. His childhood years were spent in Lake Park, where he received his early education at Harris Lake Park High School, graduating in 1971

He was named to Outstanding Teenagers of America in recognition of his outstanding ability accomplishments and service was also was named to the National Honor Society. He received the Danforth Award as well

Following high school, Mr. Arnold attended the University of Northen Iowa, where he was on the dean's list. He later attended Northwest Technical College in Sheldon, studying Mechanical Technology

He married Mary E. (Beth) Eischeid on May 27, 1977 in Royal. Throughout their married life, they lived in Spencer, where he worked for Eaton Corporation from 1974 to January 13, 1988, when he retired due to his illness

He coached Little League, was a Boy Scout leader and was an avid hunter of wild game pheasant, duck and deer. Mr. Arnold was the 1971 state champion in 880 yard run.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Brian and Jonathan, both at home; his parents; two brothers, Steven and his wife Barb of Spirit Lake and Scott of Milford and his grandmother, Christina Arnold of Cedar Rapids

Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements
