Helen Marie Krager, the daughter of Marinus Anton and Margrethe Gertie Lauridsen Nielsen, was born September 1, 1917, in Royal, Iowa. It was there she attended school and graduated in 1934. She attended A.I.B. in Des Moines and later worked at the A.S.C.S. office in Spencer.

She married Gus Krager on April 19, 1968 in Spencer, Iowa. They made their home in Peterson until moving to Spencer in 1993. While living in Peterson, Helen was involved with O.A.O Club and an active member of the United Methodist Church. Helen loved spending time with her family and later years, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Helen passed away on August 17, 2011 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gus on August 8, 1994; three brothers, Harry, Herb and Arnold.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: daughter, Judith and her husband, Richard Knudsen of Dickens, IA and son Bert Adams and his wife, Georgia of Spencer, IA; two step-children: Linda and her husband, Neil Williams of Henderson, NV and Ronald and his wife, Shamon Krager of Peterson, IA; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
