Mrs. Braasch Final Rite

Regina Tigges, daughter of August and Elizabeth Harges Tigges, was born southwest of Peterson, Iowa, July 6, 1889.

She was educated in the public schools at Peterson.

February 2, 1915 she was united in marriage to Henry Braasch at Ft. Dodge, Iowa.

For thirty one years Mr. and Mrs. Braasch resided at Aurelia, Iowa. Eight years ago they moved to Peterson, Iowa, and have resided here continuously ever since.

She has been active in the Women's organizations of the Congregational churches at Aurelia and Peterson.

Except for the past few years she has been in excellent health and was active until last Saturday when she suffered a severe apoplectic stroke and she passed away at the Sioux Valley hospital, Cherokee, Iowa without regaining consciousness, Tuesday, July 20, 1955, at 8:30 p.m. age 66 years and 20 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Charles who died in 1949.

Funeral services were held at the home and at the Congregational Church, Peterson, Friday afternoon conducted by the Minister the Rev. Paul P. Jackson. Mrs. Melvin Fastenow, organist a women's quartet Mrs. Duane Johnson, Mrs. Ralph Larson, Mrs. Ernest Tigges, and Mrs. Charles Plagman sang "Going Down the Valley," Fillmore and "The Old Rugged Cross," Rennard. Pall bearers were Wayne Tigges, Joseph Montgomery, Lloyd Joines, Earl Palmer, Leo and Wilbur Tigges. Ushers were Chester and Curt Tigges. Floral tributes were in charge of Mr. and Mrs. Myrl Heckert and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Tigges.

Survivors are the widower, Henry Braasch, Peterson, two brothers Adolp Tigges, Peterson and Philip Tigges, Greeley, Colorado. A number of other relatives and a host of friends. Interment was at Oakland cemetery Peterson, under direction of the Baumgarten funeral homes.
