Four Week's Illness Claims Life of Mrs. George A. Clifton

ROYAL: Mrs. Geo. A. Clifton, 66 succumbed to an illness of almost four weeks Thursday evening, September 14, at her home in Royal. Mrs. Clifton was stricken with acute appendicitis and was taken to the Hartley hospital where an operation was performed and the appendix was found to be ruptured. Although her condition was grave, Mrs. Clifton rallied from the operation and at first seemed to be doing well. However, her age and general condition did not enable her to recover. She was brought home Saturday of last week and Monday all hope of recovery was given up.

Burial was made in Tremillo [sic] cemetery and casket bearers were: J.O. Jones, Clarence Anderson, Albert Jipson, Henry Lorensen, Clyde Hepworth and Dale Youde.
