Thelma Grace Baysinger, the daughter of Charles and McGreta (Freeland) Breyfogle, was born January 11, 1921 in Primghar, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in Primghar where she received her early education.

On September 20, 1941, Thelma married Cyral Alphonso Baysinger in South Sioux City, Nebraska. They lived in the Moneta and Royal area for several years following their marriage, before moving to Spencer in 1954.

Thelma attended the First Baptist Church in Spencer, Iowa. In her spare time, Thelma enjoyed embroidery and fishing with her husband.

Thelma passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer on January 2, 2014, at the age of 92.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cyral on February 2, 1989; 2 sisters: Gladys and Eleanor and 4 brothers: Clarence, LeRoy, Ronald and Henry.

She is survived by her children: Barbara (Bill) Faust of Spencer, IA, Jim (JoAnn) Baysinger of Waterloo, IA, Mickey Baysinger of Ames, IA and Dennis (Holly) Baysinger of Chaska, MN; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchild; other relatives and friends.
