Old Soldier Dies

Sunday occurred the death of William Steele, an old soldier living in the north part of town with his son. He was about seventy-seven years of age, an old soldier, and was a highly respected man.

The funeral was held at the home of his son Monday afternoon, being conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond, pastor of the Methodist church. The G.A.R. attended and took charge of the funeral arrangements, using their ritual services.
