Died of Diphtheria

The sad news comes to us of the death of the little four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Johnson, who live about three miles northeast of Gillett Grove. The little one died of diphtheria last Saturday and was buried at the Gillett Grove cemetery Sunday. After the loved from had been laid away for its final rest, a brief funeral service was held at the side of the cemetery, conducted by Rev. Wolcott of Dickens. This is the second child that had this dread malady, the other one having recovered. They sympathy of many friends go out to these sorrowing parents. The News joins in tendering kindly sympathy. And may they be comforted by the though that "beyond the clouds the sun is still shining."
