April 3, 1999Donald Fitzloff, 81, Spencer, died Saturday, April 3, 1999 at Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Kim Crummer officiating.
Casket Bearers: Tim Schumann, Greg Fitzloff, Trace Arndt, Trent Arndt, Jeff Brown and Brad Fitzloff.
Burial will be at North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.
Donald Dale Fitzloff, the son of Frank and Clara (Louter) Fitzloff, was born July 11, 1917 near Spencer. His childhood years were spent in the Spencer area, where he received his education in country schools.
Don married Ruby Brinkley on October 2, 1937 in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they farmed for many years near Spencer.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Spencer. Don enjoyed gardening and wood crafting in his leisure time.
He was preceded in death by parents, six brothers, Roy, Fern, John, Ralph, Fred and Lawrence and infant son, Franklin Ebb Fitzloff.
Don is survived by his wife, a son, Robert Fitzloff and his wife Kathryn of Spencer, three daughters, Bonnie Brown and her husband, Duane of Valley City, North Dakota, Jan Schumann and her husband Dwight of Spencer and Donna Arndt and her husband Ton of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Gladys Clutterham of Beaverton, Oregon.
The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
