Jill Denise Beving was born February 21, 1950, in Spencer, Iowa, to Dick and Beverly (Kohn) Beving who currently reside in Spencer, Iowa.

She was born and raised on the family farm near Fostoria, which has been continuously in the family since 1908.

She passed away in Pennsylvania at the age of 56.

She was the oldest of three girls. Her sister, Nancy Bourne, lives near Oklahoma City with her daughter, Sarah. Her sister, Lois, is married to Paul Benson. They live on the family farm with their teenage son, Dirk.

Jill was proud to have started her education in a country school at Summit #2. Later she went to the Spencer school system, graduating from Spencer High School in 1968.

She was very active in 4-H. She enjoyed participating in the Order of Rainbow.

She went to Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, majoring in Textiles and Clothing and graduating in 1972. Through mutual friends, she met her husband to be, Gary Roach. On June 7, 1980, they were married outdoors on the campus of Iowa State University.

Jill had many interesting jobs prior to their marriage, including managing a bridal store and being a sales rep for a sewing machine company. Shortly after she and Gary married, she no longer worked outside their home. She filled her time with her many interests, including her love of the arts, travel, cooking and spending time with Gary.

Gary's career allowed them to live in Omaha, Atlanta, Georgia and Wayne, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed all of the areas, learning about the local scenery and exploring the local culture.

She was a kind and gentle spirit. She managed to bring interest and liveliness to any relationship without in any way being mean spirited. She provided an example of courage and strength when she was fighting cancer. She will be missed by all who knew her.
