August 1974Funeral for Gregory Jay Walker, 23, of Sheldon will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday from the United Methodist Church of Royal.
The Rev. Edward Phillips will officiate.
Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.
Bearers: Jeff Freeman, Jerry Freeman, Larry Koenig, James Rahfaldt, Mark Merley and Terry Galm
Honorary Bearers; Bill Reese, Gary Kuiper, Steven Hurst, Randy Fletcher, Lynn Kruse and Verdeen Wiertsema
Mr. Walker died Sunday at Sheldon Community Hospital.
He was born January 5, 1951 to Leon and Phyllis (Andrie) Walker at Spencer.
On July 5, 1974, he was married to Cheryl Honkomp at Royal.
Mr. Walker attended Clay Central School and graduated there in 1969. He attended Iowa Barber College in Des Moines. He was in businesses in Greg and Sam's Barber Shop in Sheldon and was also employed at Osco Feed Co. in Sheldon.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Royal
Surviving are his widow, Cheryl; a stepdaughter, Lisa Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Walker of Royal; a brother Leon Wayne Walker of Rockford, Illinois and his grandparents, Ruthe O. Walker of Rossie and Edna Andrie of Peterson.
