A funeral service for Edna Yungbluth, 78, of Spencer, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2002 at First English Lutheran Church in Spencer with Rev. Paul Kaldahl officiating.

Mrs. Yungbluth died at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on Saturday, August 17.

Casket Bearers; David Yungbluth, Roger Andersen, Stanley Hongerholdt, Harold Yungbluth, Jr., and David Sullivan

Military services were conducted by American Legion, Glen Pedersen Post #1

Burial was at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Spencer

Edna Mae Yungbluth the daughter of George and Ida (Wulkow) Arndt was born February 18, 1924 in Clay County. She received her education in Spencer and graduated from Spencer High School in 1942

She worked various jobs, including at bakery and Northwest Bell before entering the military. She enlisted on March 23, 1944 and was an aerial gunnery instructor of the in the United States Navy. She was honorable discharged on February 18, 1946

On September 29, 1947 she married Robert Yungbluth in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Following their marriage, they lived in Spencer a number of years where she worked a a bookkeeper and writer for KICD. They moved to New London, Minnesota in 1961, where she ran a resort for 11 years. They returned to Spencer in 1972, where she had since made her home. While living in Spencer, she had worked for Dr. Hooven's office and the Greer Law Office.

Mrs. Yungbluth was a member of First English Lutheran Church and was a Sunday School Teacher for several years. She was also a member of the American Legion, the Waves International and was a past secretary for the local Waves unit

She was precede in death by her husband, one sister and one brother

Survivors include her daughter and her husband; Brenda and Bradley Danielson of Toronto, South Dakota; four grandchildren; two sisters; Laura Nelson of Enid, Oklahoma and Betty Sullivan of Spencer; other relatives and friends.
