Herman George Ruge was born at Walcott, Scott county, Iowa, June 11, 1872, and died Sept. 14, 1925, at Minneapolis, Minn., aged 53 years, 3 months and 2 days.
He became a member of the Lutheran church at an early age. He came with his parents to Dysart in 1881 and in 1895 he left there and came to Everly where he resided until 1904 when he located at Delmont, South Dakota. In 1910 he moved to Minneapolis. He was married in 1908 to Miss Dora Moeler. To this union three children were born, Arlo, aged 16, Bernice 11, and Willis 4. The deceased had been in poor health for some time and had been confined to his bed for eleven months. Besides his immediate family he is survived by his mother at Dysart, four brothers, Fred of Everly, Rudolph of Dysart, Ernest of Cedar Rapids, William of Churdan and 4 sisters, Mrs. John Heuck and Mrs. Julius Lammers of Everly, Mrs. Fred Leusch of Meadow, South Dakota, and Mrs. Julia Krubuhl of Dysart. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Lutheran church. Rev. F. Roloff officiated and interment was made at Lone Tree cemetery. Those attending the funeral from a distance were the three brothers, also, Mrs. William Rug of Churdan, Miss Helen Ruge of Minot, H.H. Moeller of Boulder, Colorado, and Otto Moeller of Minneapolis.
