John French, a farmer living in Gillett Grove township, passed away on Sunday evening at the age of 75 years, 4 months and 15 days. His death was due to pneumonia. Funeral services were conducted this Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alvin Davis, where he had been making his home for many years and where he was patiently cared for during his last illness. Rev. Moore of Peterson, Iowa, had charge of the services and burial was made in Oakland cemetery at Peterson.
Mrs. French passed away several years ago. Four children are left to mourn the loss of their father, Mrs. Alvin Davis of Greenville, Mrs. Carlos Story of Peterson, James French of Royal and Frank French of Peterson.
