Died in Duluth
Luman C. McCoy, son of J.C. McCoy, of this city, passed away Friday at a hospital in Duluth, Minnesota. The cause of his death was cancer of the stomach. The remains, accompanied by the family, his father and brother, Archie, of Spokane, Washington, arrived in the city Saturday evening and the funeral services were held by Rev. J.O. Thrush at the Congregational church Sunday afternoon under the auspices of the Masonic lodge of which deceased was a thirty-second degree member.
Luman McCoy was born in Ganesville, Wisconsin, August 3, 1865. In 1871 he came with his parents to Spencer where he resided until about twenty two years ago when he entered the employ of the Milwaukee road at Duluth. For nine years he was a yardmaster but recently had been running a train west from Missoula, Montana, where he was having a home erected at the time of his death. Three weeks ago his condition became so serious that it was necessary to take him to the hospital where he passed away.
