Florilla Fay, 1846-1928

Funeral services for Miss Florilla Fay, who died early last Wednesday morning at the county farm west of Spencer, were held last Friday morning at the chapel of the Cobb Funeral Home at 10:30 o'clock with the Rev. Benjamin J. Trickey, pastor of the First Congregational church of Spencer, officiating. Mrs. R.C. Hubbard sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and was accompanied by Mrs. H.E. Glover at the piano. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Miss Ray made her home for eleven years with Mr. and Mrs. Ace F. England, north of Spencer, before going to the county farm December 12, 1923. Prior to making her home with Mr. and Mrs. England she had lived with her sister, Mrs. Mason T. Wilcox, who lived north of Spencer. After he sisters's death Miss Fay lived in the England home. Her early home was near Burlington, Wisconsin.

She was first taken sick last Monday, her death resulting from heart trouble. After her death she was immediately taken to the Cobb Funeral Home.

Miss Carrie E. Fay of Seattle, Washington, and Ellis Fay of Belvidere, Illinois, niece and nephew, are the only surviving relatives.
