Services for Clara Florence Derry, 85, Spencer, will be Monday at 1:30p.m. in the Warner Chapel in Spencer. The Rev. Richard Pearson will officiate.

Casket Bearers: Richard Endicott, Jerry Ingvall, Leonard Langner, John Ingvall, Ernie Hansen and Richard Hott.

Burial will be in Dickens Cemetery.

Mrs. Derry died Wednesday, November 15, 1989 at the Milford Care Center in Milford.

She was born February 23, 1904, in Schaller to John and Jensena (Larson) Hansen. Her family moved to Dickens when she was young and it was in the country schools that she received her early education.

She married Oscar William Derry in Dickens on March 4, 1920. Throughout their marriage they lived in the Dickens Community. For many years Mrs. Derry worked as a cook at Lake Center School and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary No. 194.

For the past 12 years, Mrs. Derry has lived with her daughter in Spencer, during which time she spent three months in the winter with her son in Garden Grove, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson and two brothers.

Mrs. Derry is survived by one son and his wife, William Oscar and Maxine of Garden Grove; one daughter, Olive Endicott of Spencer; six grandchildren; and three sisters, Myrtle Culver of Spencer, Pearl Ingvall of Graettinger and Jesse Houk of Port Angeles, Washington

The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
