Gloria Leigh Seaman, the daughter of Guy and Dorothy Rhodes Mills, was born October 26, 1926 south of Greenville, Iowa. She received her early education in Rossie and graduated from Webb High School. Gloria then continued her education in Omaha at a Business School. Following her education, Gloria moved to Spencer where she worked as a Bookkeeper for area businesses.

Following her retirement, Gloria kept busy with several different activities like: traveling, playing cards, spending time with her many friends, baking, which she had made several Wedding cakes through the years, tending to her flower garden, doing her oil paintings and most of all, she loved her time with her family. Gloria was involved in her Quilting Club and attended the Congregational Church in Greenville.

Gloria passed away on August 17, 2010 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Doug Mills.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons: Greg Seaman, and his wife Connie of Dickens, IA, Jeff Seaman, and his wife Lisa of Spencer, IA; one daughter, Terry Frerichs, and her husband Dave of Spencer, IA; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Janet Grieve of Sioux City, IA and Judy Phillips and her husband, Jack of Linn Grove, IA; one sister-in-law, Sherry Mills of Sioux Rapids, IA; other relatives and many friends.
