Sarah Bloomer was born in Pennsylvania, August 27, 1843. When a child she and her parents came to Wisconsin where she lived until she came to Spencer, June 1881. She was married to E.H. Shelton on July 4, 1861. There were born to them two sons, Milo who lives at Fostoria, and one son who died in infancy. Besides her husband and son, she leaves two grandchildren and three brothers to mourn her loss. In November 1894 she united with the Methodist Episcopal church and remained a faithful member until her death which occurred Saturday, October 31. The funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. O.M. Bond, of Spencer.
