Sudden Death

The death of Mrs. W.A. Moeller, of Clay township, occurred last Friday under most distressing circumstances. Mr. Moeller was away from home attending a sale, and before leaving had asked his wife to bring home the cattle which were feeding in a nearby field. Returning home soon after noon and not finding the cattle in their yards nor his wife at home, he began a search. On going to the field in question he found the lifeless body of his wife, who had fallen and expired, no doubt, of apoplexy. The body was still warm when found, showing that her death was very recent. Medical assistance was called in but to no avail. Funeral services were held at the home Monday and burial was in Lone Tree cemetery. Besides her husband she leaves a daughter aged about fifteen and a son who is younger. She is spoken of as a lady of admirable qualities, who was greatly attached to her home.
