June 26, 1987Mildred Leona Parks, 88, of Spencer, Died Friday at St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parks will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 1987, at Warner Chapel, Spencer. The Rev. Paul Bussert will officiate and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Spencer.

Honorary Bearers; Jim Walton, Steve Parks, Alan Jatho, Tom Walrod, Mark Lee and Wayne Sponbein
The daughter of Peter and Luella Johnson Flipsey. Mrs. Parks was born December 16, 1898, near Spencer. She grew up in the Harmony area southeast of Spencer, and received her education there.
She married Guy Parks, November 7, 1920, in Spencer. Mrs. Parks lived in the Spencer area all her life and worked at the Tangney Hotel for 20 years before retiring in 1969
Preceding her in death were her husband on September 17, 1957; one son, Harold; three grandchildren; and one brother.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Leslie and Dorothy Parks of Lakeview Terrace, California and Frank and Bernice Parks of Spencer; five daughters and their husbands, Lucille and Melvin Ollinger Gunnerson of Sioux Rapids, Charlene and Vaugh Walton of Upland, California, Wava and George Dailey of Calumet, Margaret Kobold of Omaha, Nebraskak and Loretta and Gary Lee of Texas City, Texas; 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Irene Case of Shakopee, Minnesota.
