Reno, Mrs. Salas, 78, died Monday, April 2, at her home, 568 Hough street, of a stroke and complications. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning, with interment in Riverside cemetery.

MRS. SALAS RENO DIES AT HOME MON.

Services Held on Wednesday from Sacred Heart Church; Burial in Riverside

Mrs. Salas Reno, 79, died Monday morning, April 2, at 5:30 o'clock at her home, 568 Hough street, following a stroke of paralysis. Although in failing health for several months, Mrs. Reno's condition did not become serious until 5 o'clock Sunday morning. Death was caused from a paralytic stroke and complications of old age.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock from Sacred Heart church in Spencer and were conducted by Father Meyer of Milford assisted by Father Schultes of Royal. Burial was made in Riverside cemetery.

Salas Shoven was born in Montreal, Canada, July 15, 1855. When she was three years old she moved with her parents to St. Ann, Ill., where she grew to into young womanhood. At St. Ann in 1873, she was united in marriage to Thomas F. Reno, whose death occurred in Spencer five years ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Reno came to Iowa from Illinois, March 10, 1883, and located on a farm in O'Brien county, four miles east of Primghar where they lived five years and later moved to a farm near Royal. Mrs. Reno had resided in Spencer since 1911.

Mrs. Reno was a member of Sacred Heart church also a member of the Alter society.

Surviving are eight children, Albert Reno, of Wesley, Ia., Andrew Reno of Spencer, Joseph Reno of Ayrshire, A.J. Reno of Gastin, Oregon, Mrs. J.A. Finnegan of Moneta, Mrs. L.F. Ruge of Minot, North Dakota and Mrs. W.J. Shanks of Lucerne, Ind., and Miss Ida Reno at home, also 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

All of her children were present at the services Wednesday except Mrs. Ruge and A.J. Reno.
