Roger Merle Lundt, the son of Arthur Merle and Helen (Gerner) Lundt, was born May 1, 1941 in Spencer, Iowa. Roger grew up in the Sioux Rapids, Iowa community, where he received his education, graduating from Cornell High School in 1959.

Following graduation, he farmed and drove truck for Skov and Sundblad. In later years, he worked for Shine Brothers in Spencer until his health failed him and forced him to retire.

Roger enjoyed spending time relaxing at his place at Lost Island Lake in Ruthven visiting with friends and fishing. He also enjoyed taking care of his two cats, Puss and Boots.

Roger passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007 at his home in Spencer at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Helen Lundt.

His survivors include his special friend and fiance, Marilyn Moor and her children: Shane and Michelle Nielsen, Terry and Vicki Krieg of Spencer, Torrey and Kim Krause of Everly, IA and Doug Nielsen of Wisconsin along with several other relatives and friends.
