Memorial Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Warner Funeral Home in Everly, Iowa.

Steven Wade Olson was born on June 1st, 1948, in Spencer, Iowa. He was baptized in Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer and attended cofirmation and was confirmed at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly.

Steven began his schooling at Waterford Twp. Country School and later attended and graduated from Everly Community High School in 1966. In high school Steven enjoyed track, football, basketball, and friends. Steven was also involved in contest speech, band, and chorus.

Steven attended Iowa State University and graduated with a degree in industrial engineering in 1972. He also later earned a degree in accounting.

On September 27, 1986, Steven married Madeline Hess and settled in Seattle, Washington area. They were blessed with two children: Edward (Ted) and Jennifer (Jenny) Steven loved his children and was a loving father who will be greatly missed.

Steven had many interesting occupations: was engaged in farming, was an accountant for a fishing company in Alaska, he developed his own computer programming business, which he later sold and moved to Sacramento, California. Then Steven and Madeline started a food service business called E Z Dinners.

On November 11, 2007, Steven passed away in Sacramento, California, at the age of 59. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade; brother, Ronald; and his grandparents.

Steven is survived by his wife: Madeline; son, Edward; daughter, Jennifer, all of Sacramento, CA; mother, Alma of Spencer, IA; two sisters: Le Ora (Roger) Lageschulte of Seattle WA, Jeanette (Doug) Lietz of Estherville, IA; brother Gary (Deborah) Olson of Clarion, IA; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Steven will be greatly missed by all.
