Colleen Collette Lage, the daughter of William R. and Opal A. (Eisenmann) Collins, was born February 9, 1929, in Dysart, Iowa. She received her early education and graduated from the Arnolds Park High School in Arnolds Park, Iowa.

Colleen married Robert Keith Lage on June 1, 1947, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Following their marriage, they lived in Arizona, Colorado, Gillett Grove, Iowa, Melvin, Iowa, Albert City, Iowa, and various other towns in Iowa before moving to Spencer in 1977.

Colleen was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church and State Line Travelers square dancing group. Colleen enjoyed traveling, gardening, camping, and her two dogs, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Colleen passed away on March 27, 2007, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Spencer, IA; her three children: Ronda Kay Bean and her husband, Lee of Everly, IA, William Grant Lage and his wife, Sherri of New Brighton, MN and Marianna Renae Rowell and her husband, Steven of Marion, IA; five grandchildren: Allison and Eric Lage, Cheyenne Bean, Michaela and Jakob Rowell; other relatives and friends.
