Richard Warren Heddinger, the son of Warren and Leona (Cunningham) Heddinger, was born April 2, 1936, in Spencer, Iowa. His childhood years were spent in Spencer where he received his education at Sacred Heart Catholic and Spencer Public Schools. Following high school, Richard attended one year of business school in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Following school, Richard worked in sales. He moved to Texas where he was a security guard and then to Le Mars before moving back to Spencer.

Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Spencer. In his free time Richard loved playing pinochle, gin rummy, poker, and puzzles. He also loved to travel, having coffee with his friends, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends. He loved life and had a great sense of humor.

On Saturday, February 5, 2007, Richard passed away at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Leona Heddinger; and one brother, Larry Heddinger.

Left to cherish his memory is one sister, Shirley Heddinger of Spencer, IA; one nephew, Mark Heddinger of Spencer, IA; members of the Rosa family; as well as several cousins; other family; and many friends.
