Lois Evora Woodford, the daughter of George and Francis (Warriner) Stoermer, was born on December 13, 1916, in Spencer, Iowa. She spent her childhood years in Webb where she received her education and graduating from Garfield Consolidated High School in 1935.

Lois married Kenneth Arthur Woodford on November 21, 1941, in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they farmed near Webb until their retirement in 1981 when they moved into the town of Webb. Lois enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, embroidery and gardening. Lois was a member of the Ladies Aide and a past Library Board Member. She had been a resident of Northshire Residence in Spencer since March of 2005.

Lois passed away at the Northshire Residence on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the age of 89. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Kenneth on March 13, 2006; one son, Dale; three brothers: Howard, Glen and Joy and one sister, Hilda Nielsen.

She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Sharon and Larry Buettner of Webb, IA and Karen and Dennis Rutter of Spencer, IA; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Karen Woodford of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.
