Fostoria Lady Dies

On Monday morning, April 24, Mrs. Marie Hansen of Fostoria passed away at her home in that city. She was born in Sweden, April 8, 1861, and lived in that country until in 1887 when she came to the United States. While in Spencer, in 1888, she met Christian Hansen, whom she married. Several years after their marriage they moved to Fostoria where they made their home until the latter's death. No children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Hansen and except for a sister residing at Primghar, all her relatives live in Sweden.

As a child she united with the Swedish Lutheran church and throughout her whole life was identified with this church, or if there were not one of this denomination she worked in the one that was nearest. She was a kindly woman, one whose chief interests were in her home and her friends.

Funeral services were held at Fostoria, and interment was made at Riverside cemetery at Spencer, with Rev. A. Dyson, pastor of the Methodist church at Fostoria, in charge.
