Archie Irvin Tjossem, 1895-1909

Archie Irvin Tjossem was born December 26, 1895, in Eillon, Iowa, and died November 18, 1909, from the accidental discharge of a rifle.

He came with his parents to Clay county when four years of age and grew from childhood to early youth in the home near Spencer.

For the past six years he has been a sufferer from a nervous trouble, his suffering being such as to arouse the sympathy of all who knew him.

Besides his parents he leaves two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. H. B. Lawrence of Langdon, Agnes, Percy and Earl at home. The funeral services were held from the home last Sunday afternoon, his last resting place being a beautiful bed of flowers sent by loving friends.

Relatives from away were his grandfather, T. P. Tjossem, his aunts, Mrs. O. P. and Miss Mary Tjossem, an uncle, Lewis Tjossem. of Paullina, Iowa, and an uncle, Peter Tjossem, of Gaza, Iowa.
