Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock for Mrs. Walter W. Moeller of Everly who died at the Spencer hospital Wednesday evening, May 18, after a short illness. The Reverend B. J. Trickey, pastor of the First Congregational church of Spencer, conducted the services which were held at the Moeller home. Hundreds of relatives and friends attended the last rites.
Music for the services was given by Mrs. Alvin Wiese, Mrs. Rudolph Hoist and Mrs. Kenneth Burger. Pall bearers were Ben Steuben, Harry Peterson, Fred Sierck, Andrew Schoenewe, John Schmidt and Walter Sage. Interment was made at Lone Tree cemetery.
Gladys Marie Ewoldt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Ewoldt, was born February 12, 1896 on a farm near Everly. At the time of her death she was 36 years, 3 months and 6 days of age.
The deceased was a graduate of the Everly high school with the class of 1915 and taught for several years in rural schools of the county. She was a confirmed member of the Hope Lutheran church.
On June 30,1917, she was married to Walter W. Moeller and they have since resided on a farm southwest of Everly.
She is survived by her husband, four children, Marcell, 14, Donald, 9, Jean, 4, and Virginia, 2; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Ewoldt, a sister Mrs. C. M. Cronk, and a brother Frank Ewoldt, all of Everly.
The following relatives and friends came fron a distance to attend the funeral: Mr. and Mrs. Alsied Ewoldt and son Elmber and Mrs. Agnes Fisher of Clutler, Mrs. Grover Ruwe of Lake Park, Hugo Moeller of Cedar Heights, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Olhausen and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stelth of Hartley, Mrs. Julius Ingwerson of Lake Park, Mr. and Mrs. F.N. Wood of Worthington, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Ketelsen, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Moeller and Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Moeller of Spencer.
