Ardeth Faye Woodford, 1930-1931

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Webb, Iowa, for Ardeth Faye Woodford, baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Gaye Woodford of Webb, who died Saturday morning, May 23, 1931, at three-thirty o'clock in the Methodist hospital at Sioux City, Iowa, where she had been taken the previous Monday for treatment. Little Ardeth Faye was 9 months and 17 days of age at the time of her death which was caused from meningitis. She was born August 6, 1930, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Woodford. Two grandmothers mourn the death of little Ardes,[sic] Mrs. Katherine Woodford and Mrs. Joe Thomas, both of Webb.

A prayer service was held Monday afternoon at the Woodford home in Webb at one thirty o'clock and at the Methodist church at two o'clock, the Rev. Bottom, pastor, in charge. Burial was made in the Garfield cemetery near Webb.
