Dorothy Mary Frazier, 14-year old daughter of Mrs. Meta Frazier of Spencer, died Monday morning, May 25, 1931, at one o'clock, at the home of her grandmother, Mrs. Dorothy Larson, on West Eighth street. Dorothy was taken ill, January 25, with a heart attack and seemed to be recovering, but two weeks ago, she was taken ill with pneumonia and passed away Monday morning.
Funeral services are to be held this afternoon, Thursday, at two o'clock at the Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. B. J. Trickey, pastor of the First Congregational church in charge. Pall bearers will be the friends with whom Dorothy spent her childhood days, Marian and Ruth Baire, Dagny Rindsig, Mary Oliver, Virginia Curtis and Dorothy McTigue. Interment will be made in the Riverside cemetery.
Dorothy Mary Frazier was born in Spencer February 14, 1917, where she attended the public schools until she and her mother left for San Bernardino, California, August 31, 1928. Dorothy then entered the Arrow View High school of San Bernardino and attended school there until this year when she and her mother returned to Spencer in January. She entered the Spencer High school and was a student there for several weeks before her first serious illness of January 25. She was a sophomore student at the time of her illness.
She leaves to mourn her death her mother, her grandmother, and an aunt, Mrs. Iva Buzby, all of
Spencer, and three uncles, H. B. Larson and E. G. Larson of Mason City and Noah Larson of Iowa Falls. Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Larson of Mason City and Mr. and Mrs. Noah Larson of Iowa Falls arrived
