March 30, 1878-1972Jens Kuper Funeral Will Be Thursday
Funeral for Jens Kuper, 93, of Bancroft, formerly of Everly, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Reformed Church of rural Everly. Mr. Kuper died Monday aat the Heritage Nursing Home at Bancroft.
The Rev. J.A. Hoksbergen will officiate at the final rites. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
He was born March 30, 1878, in Osfriesland, Germany, the son of Heije and Dena (Mannega) Kuper. He came to Iowa at the age of nine years. For many years he was a farmer in the Everly area.
After his retirement he moved to Mason City. For the past two years he and his wife had lived at the Heritage Home at Bancroft. She survives him.He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Grace Meyer of Everly, and one son, Harry Kuper of Lakota, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchilden and one sister, Mrs. Betty Mori of Everly. His parents and two daughters preceded.
Funeral arrangements are by Garry Funeral Home at Bancroft.
