June 26, 1920-1988

Amos Hollander, 67, of Spencer and formerly of Everly, died Saturday at Spencer Municipal Hospital.

Services for Mr. Hollander will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church of Spencer. the Rev. Leon Triggs will officiated at the services.

Burial will be in the First Reformed Church Cemetery, rural Everly.

Casket Bearers; Donald Heikens, Dale Scharnberg, Ray Felhacker, Albert Johnson, Larry Heikens and George Wolthuis.

Honorary Casket Bearers: Robert Marshall, Jerry Quee, Rick Hollander, Jason Hollander and Jack Merchand.

The Warner Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.

The son of Jurgen and Emma (Kruse)Hollander, he was born June 26, 1920, near Lake Park. His childhood years were spent in the Lake Park and Everly communities and it was in the Summit Country School near Fostoria where he received his early education.

He married Betty June Nelson, October 25, 1946, in Worthington, Minnesota. Throughout their marriage they lived in the Everly Area, where Mr. Hollander farmed for many years. After retiring in 1980, the family moved to Spencer. Mr. Hollander was a past member of Zion United Methodist Church. For the last four years, he was a resident of Longhouse.

Survivors include his wife; five sons and their wives, Nels and Shirley Hollander of Sac City, Raymond and Jolene Hollander, Dale and Betty Hollander, Daniel and Connie Hollander and Marvin Hollander, all of Spencer; one daughter and her husband, June and Richard Miller of Spencer; 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
