December 30, 1904-May 28, 1995Bertha Hagemeyer, 90, Spencer, died May 28, 1995 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.
Funeral services will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Hope Reformed Church, Spencer, with Pastor Perry DeGrot officiating.
Casket Bearers; Duaine Holck, Brian Holck, Lowell Mouw, Jack Manders, Paul VandeBerg and Klaas Groen.
Burial will be at First Reformed Cemetery, Rural Everly, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Bertha Hagemeyer, the daughter of Albert and Hattie Dirksen, was born December 30, 1904 in Everly. Her childhood years were spent on a farm near Everly, where she received her education at Sunny Brook Country School. Throughout her adult life, she lived in Spencer, where she worked at A&M Laundry for four years, Ashley Hotel for three years, Delaney Nursing Home for 14 months and babysat for various families in the Spencer Community. She was an active member of Hope Reformed Church, where she belonged to the Women of Hope. Bertha also belonged to Keenages Club.
Her survivors include two cousins; Mr. and Mrs. George Hagemeyer, of Clara City, Minnesota and several other relatives and friends.
