George Henry Fries
March 20, 1902-June 2, 1984

Funeral services for George Henry Fries, 82, of Spencer, and formerly of Milford were conducted on Tuesday, June 5, 1984, at the Warner Chapel in Spencer, with Pastor Lee Sather officiating.

Pallbearers; Thomas A. Fries, Darrel Place, Gene Voss, Ronnie Ihnen, Arnie Ihnen and Bob Clark.

Interment was in the First Reformed Cemetery in Everly.

George Henry Fries, the son of Thomas and Anna (Stueben) Fries, was born on March 20, 1902, in Spencer, His childhood years wee spent in the Spencer community, and it was in Summit Township No. 4 county school that he received his early education.

George worked at Vacation Village at Okoboji for 30 years, living in Milford during much of the time. For the past several years he had made his home with his sister in Spencer.

Mr. Fries passed away at Longhouse Residence in Spencer on June 2, 1984, at the age of 82 years, two months, and 12 days.

He is survived by two brothers, Thomas Fries, Jr. of Graettinger and Frederick N. Fries of Royal; two sisters, Mrs. Margretta Morrow of Spencer and Mrs. Marie Maurick of Austin, Minnesota and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and two brothers.
