JoHanna Anna (Ringering) Dirksen
August 2, 1896-August 1, 1992

JoHanna Anna Dirksen, 95, of Spencer, died Saturday, August 1, 1992, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at the First Reformed Church by Fostoria with the Rev. Gerald Norman offficiating.

Casket Bearers; Dean Tlam, Alfred Schmidt, Robert Schmidt, Eldon Tlam, Dale Schmidt and Walter Schmidt.

Burial will be in the First Reformed Cemetery, Fostoria. The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dirksen, the daughter of John and Ida (Groenewold) Ringering, was born August 2, 1896, in Everly. Her childhood years were spent in Waterford Township in Clay County, where she received her early education in country schools.

She married Theodore Dirksen on October 4, 1928, at the First Reformed Church by Fostoria. Following their marriage, they farmed on the same farm for 55 years. Mrs. Dirksen also did house cleaning in various homes. She was a life long member of the First Reformed Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one sister and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters; Mrs. Ray (Alice) Marsh of Jeffers, Minnesota and Doris Dirksen of Everly; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Schmidt of Spencer and Mrs. Ira (Martha) Tlam of Sherburn, Minnesota.

Interment in First Reformed Church cemetery
