February 8, 1885-December 1978Services for Miss Abbie DeNeui, 93, of Spencer will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Reformed Church at Fostoria. The Rev. Arie Blok will officiate and burial will be at the First Reformed Cemetery at Fostoria. Miss DeNeui died Thursday at the Longhouse Residence.
Bearers: Weibe Meyer, George Wolthuis, Harold Eckard, Casper Weeldreyer, Russell Harms and Bob Meyer.
Mrs. DeNeui was born February 8, 1885, at Ackley, the daughter of Monne D and Aaltje (Burma) DeNeui. She moved with her parents to Everly in 1893. She was educated in rural schools near Everly. She farmed with her parents north of the First Reformed Church of Fostoria. Following her parents' death, she lived on the farm with her sister, Dena Wolthuis. She broke her hip on August 13, 1974, and following surgery moved to the Longhouse Residence where she lived since. She was a long time member of the First Reformed Church.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Dena Wolthuis of Spencer. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Roskens and Mrs. Monna Wheelhouse.
The Warner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
