Wilton Franklin Drury, 68, of Everly, died Saturday, July 13, 1991 at the Spencer Municipal Hospital.
Funeral services will be held, July 16, 1991 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Lutheran Church in Everly with the Rev. G. Duane Baum officiating.
Casket Bearers; Walter Goeken, Norman Nielsen, Robert Cuttell, Edwin Geerdes, Herman Wilken and Edgar Pearson.
Honorary Casket Bearers; Dick Kramer, Dick Kirksey Sr., Willard Spangler and Curtis Runkle.
Burial will be at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly. The Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.
The son of Millard and Angie (Evans) Drury was born March 19, 1923, in Everly. He spent his childhood years in the Everly community and it was there that he received his early education, graduating from high school in 1940.
On March 21, 1943, he married Lois Wehde in Everly. Throughout their marriage they have made their home in the Everly community where Frank farmed for 45 years. He retired in 1988.
Mr. Drury was a longtime member of Hope Lutheran Church and served on the church council at various times. He had also been a member of the Lion's Club and a board member of the United Farmers Telephone Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife; three daughters and their husbands; Patricia and Jaqdeesh Adhav of Des Moines, Rebecca and Richard Kirksey of Everly and Barbara and Dean Anderson of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren; one brother, Wilson of Sun Lakes, Arizona; and two sisters, Francis Limmeroth of Dufar, Oregon and Joan Block of West Bend.
