Ed Straub, who lived six miles south of Dickens, died of typhoid fever yesterday and will be buried in the Dickens cemetery tomorrow. The funeral will be held in the Congregational church at 12 o'clock.

Mr. Straub came here in the early 80s, and by hard work, patient industry and economy combined with good judgment, has secured a half section of the most valuable land in Clay county, and has it well stocked with fine cattle and hogs. His buildings are new and modern.

He leaves a widow well provided for. Mr. Straub leaves a large family to mourn his loss. He was an honest, upright man, and will be very much missed in this community--Dickens Leader.
