Last Friday the remains of S.T. Collins were deposited in the Little Burr Oak cemetery. S.T. Collins served in an Indiana regiment through the civil war, and when the war was over, he came to his family who had preceded him some little time, settling on a homestead in Herdland township, where he resided until his after his first wife, who was a daughter of Thomas Pucket, died. He has been a resident of Sioux Rapids for a good many years. He leaves a wife and six children--George, Mrs. Matilda Morris, of Marathon; George, who lives in Sioux Rapids; Mrs. Lydia Middleton, in Indiana; William Collins, in Herdland on his father's farm; Emeline Hisia, of Iowa City, and Grant Collins, in Minnesota. All except Mrs. Middleton were at the funeral.

One by one thus we are passing over the silent river.
