Funeral services for the late George M. Bisbee, mention of whose death was made in last week's Reporter, were held at the home of his son, Luke Bisbee, in Dickens, on last Thursday by Rev. A. Dyson, pastor of the Methodist church of that place and interment was made in the Riverside cemetery in this city.

George M. Bisbee was born in New York, January 14, 1843 [sic] and died February 26, 1918, being at the time of his death 84 years of age. He was married in Wisconsin to Helen Dearborn on July 4, 1856. To this union six children were born. Three of whom survive, namely: Luke Bisbee, of Dickens; E.D. Bisbee, of Spencer and Mrs. Smith Thompson, of Rockport, Texas.

His wife preceeded him to the eternal world on July 26, 1911. For twenty-two years he lived in Kansas, coming to Clay county in 1883, where he lived up to the time of his death. For a time he was engaged in the grocery business and later turned his hand to farming. He was a veteran of the civil war and a member of the Annett Post G.A.R.
