April 17, 1860-November 19, 1928

Funeral rites for Mrs. Helen Louise Deacon, former resident of Everly, Iowa, were held last Thursday morning, November 22, at ten o'clock at the home of F.G. Wiese in Everly. The Rev. J.L. Seitzinger, Pastor of the Lutheran Church, officiated and interment was made in the Lone Tree Cemetery.

Mrs. Deacon, nee Helen Louise Lippencott died November 19 at Clarinda, Iowa, following a stroke of apoplexy. She was born April 12, 1860, in New Jersey. On August 12 1887, she was united in holy wedlock with Eugene H. Deacon, at Philadelphia. To this union three children were born; all of whom survive. They are; Mrs. Anna Parker of Detroit, Michigan, Mrs. Elizabeth Sellears of Philadephia, Pennsylvania and Eugene L. Deacon of Detroit, Michigan.

Mrs. Deacon formerly lived in Everly until 1907 when she moved to Ames where she had since resided. At the time of her death she was 68 years 7 months and 2 days of age.

Her husband preceded her in death. She is survived by her three children and four grandchildren.
