Funeral services in memory of Perry Hobart Corbin were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Royal, Iowa, at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 24, 1991. Pastor Theodore Letzring officiated.

Casket Bearers; Dean Brugman, Dan Brugman, Paul Kruse, Dave Brugman, Jim Olson and Howard Lacey. Interment was at Lone Tree Cemetery, Everly, Iowa. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Perry Hobart Corbin, the son of Oliver and Catherine (Hoberg) Corbin, was born on May 30, 1907, in Royal, Iowa. He received his early education in the Trimellow Country School and later attended Radio School in L.A. and worked there for ten years where he was employed for Mays Department Store. He then returned to this area in 1937 to resume farming of the family homestead in partnership with his sister, Mary.

While living in the Royal area, he had been baptized on December 1, 1922 and later confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church where he had been a member for many years. He was also active in the Farmers Union where he had been a couty officer; he also belonged to the American Breeders Association and the Angus Association as well as the Democratic Party.

On February 21, 1992, Mr. Corbin passed away at the Mann Memorial Wing in Hartley, Iowa at the age of 84. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur.

Perry is survived by one sister, Mary of Royal, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Etta Belle Corbin of Neshkow, Wisconsin; one niece, Margaret Roggows of Fremont, Nebraska; one nephew, Arthur Corbin, Jr., of Neshkow, Wisconsin; as well as other relatives and friends
