Milton Knud Christensen
February 13, 1922 - July 22, 2009

Milton Knud Christensen, the son of Peter and Mary Bang Christensen, was born February 13, 1922 in Royal, Iowa. He received his early education and graduated from the Royal High School. Following his schooling, Milton farmed.

On August 15, 1943, Milton married Marion Neilsen. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed near Royal, Iowa. Milton enjoyed music, reading, puzzles, collecting various items, gardening and especially his family. Milton had a great love for life. He was a member of Jehovahs Witnesses and the Farm Bureau. On July 16, 1980, Milton married Jeanne Hunt in Peoria, IL. Following their marriage they lived in Royal, IA.

Milton passed away on July 22, 2009, at Longhouse Residence following a battle with cancer at the age of 87. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marion in 1964; 2 daughters: Julie and Carol; 2 brothers: Harvey and Francis Frankie; sister, Mabel Percival.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne of Royal, IA; 2 sons: Chris Christensen of Royal and Larry Christensen and wife Valerie of York, SC; 3 daughters: Shirley Runnels and husband, Dick of Omaha, NE, Sharon Joy and husband, Tony of Spencer, IA and Terri Christensen and her friend, Brian Minock of York, SC; 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 step-children: Shelly Garnett and husband, Kenny of Peoria, IL, Suzan Dill and husband, Tim of Mount Horeb, WI and Scott Miller and wife Linda of Chillicothe, IL; 3 step-grandchildren; one brother, JamesJake Christensen of Spencer, IA; other relatives and friends.

Interment in Willow Creek cemetery
