Maude Pearl (Twogood) Boyles
January 15, 1900-March 1991

Funeral service for Maude Pearl Boyles, 91, of Everly, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly. The Rev. G. Duane Baun will officiate. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery at Everly. Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of arrangements.

Casket Bearers; Carl Winterboer, Gale Birdsall, George Hintz, Edward Keefer, Bert Brock and Les Tessum.

Mrs. Boyles died Wednesday at the Mann Memorial Wing in Hartley.

Maude Pearl Twogood Boyles, the daughter of Judson and Minnie (Kuelper) Twogood, was born January 15, 1900, in Belle Plain. She grew up on a farm near Terril and attended grade school in Terril and high school in Everly.

She married Everett Palmer Boyles on December 3, 1916, in Everly. Throughout their married life, the couple lived in Everly. She was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church and taught Sunday School and confirmation classes for 43 years, along with Bible school. She was state president of the American Veterans Auxiliary during World War II and was active in Cub Scouts for 10 years and Girl Scouts for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons; a half-brother; two grandsons and on great-grandson.

She is survived by two sons and their wives; Delbert "Dub" and Muriel of Everly; and Jim and Dorothy of Jackson, Minnesota; three daughters and their husbands; Donna and Alvin Larson of Milford; Mary and Alvin Foxhoven of Arnolds Park; and ParmaGean and Chuck Lasche of Dubuque; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
