John Frank Fell
October 13, 1905-January 3, 1974Funeral services were held for John F. Fell at 1:30 p.m., January 7, 1974 in the Hope Lutheran Church in Everly with Pastor Roger Hansen officiating.
Pallbearers were Ellis (Jim) Jessen, Arthur Elbert, Oliver Ficken, Gilbert Holtz, Robert Cuttell and Fred Adrian
Burial was in Lone tree Cemetery, at Everly.
John Frank Fell was born on October 13, 1905 to John Fell Sr. and Mary (Grendler) on the Fell Family farm, 2,1/2 miles south of Everly. Here he grew to manhood attending rural scholl and then graduating from Everly High School in 1923.
He was a lifetime farmer and had a great love for feeding cattle.
He was married to Viola Schoelerman on February 6, 1932 in the Lutheran Parsonage in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. To this union were born to this union, two sons, Merlyn and David.
He moved into Everly in 1964 and reired from farming in 1968.
He had been in poor health for several years. He was taken to the Hartley Hospital on Wednesday January 2 and passed away at 6:05 p.m. pm Thursday, January 3.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mae and one brother, Edward.
He is survived by his widow, Viola, two sons, Merlyn Fell of Everly and Dr. David Fell of Jackson, Minnesota; two daughters-in-law, Bonnie and Barbara; 7 grandchildren, Patricia of Decorah, Iowa, Micheal, Sandra, Mark, Sharon and Teresa all of Everly and Brian of Jackson, Minnesota; three brothers, Peter Fell of Long Beach, California; Lewis Fell and Morris Fell both of Everly, five sisters, Mrs. Besse Bixler of Spencer, Mrs. Alice Jessen of New Richland, Minnesota' Mrs. Clara Thiessen of Everly; Susie Fell of Spencer and Mrs. Agnes Howe of Oxhard, California, as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.
