Harmke Meyer Beving
October 29,1895-July 1, 1972

Funeral services for Mrs. John Beving, 76, of rural Everly were held on Wednesday, July 5, 1972 at the First Reformed Church of Fostoria at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. John Hoksbergen officiating. Mrs. Beving passed away at the Spencer Hospital on Saturday, July 1, 1972.

Mrs. Beving, nee Harmke Meyer, was born October 29, 1895, the daughter of Wiebe S. and Johanna (Eeten) Meyer of Waterford Township in Clay County.

She received her education in the public schools in Waterford Township and her entire lifetime was lived in Clay County.

On January 1, 1918 she was united in marriage to John Beving. They farmed for many years and then retired on an acreage near their church. She was a member of the First Reformed Church since 1918.

Her hobbies were her garden and flowers.

Left to cherish her memory are husband John; two sons, Merlin and John Edward of Everly, three daughters, Mrs. Ed (Lenora) Bernier, Winslow, Arizona, Mrs. Leonard (Janell) Clausen, Lake Park, and Mrs. Harold (Annetta) Laubach, Hartley. Seventeen grandchildren and one sister, Mrs.Conrad (Claaska) Winterboer of Everly also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Gerald and Alan and eight brothers and sisters.

Mrs. William Ringering was organist and accompanied the congregation in singing "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "Rock of Ages"

Burial was in the First Reformed Cemetery near Fostoria. The pallbearers were Robert Meyer, Harm Meyer, Calvin Meyer, Raymond Winterboer, Eite B. Roskens and Harvey Meyer
