Death of Michael Doyle
The many friends of Michael Doyle will be sorry to learn of his death which took place last Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1915, at a private sanitarium at Cherokee where he had been about two months. He had lived in Clay county for about twentyfive years. His wife died about five years ago.
There are six children surviving all of whom were present when he died and at the funeral, viz: Miss Mamie Doyle at home, Mrs. Chas. Pickering, Greenville, James A. near home, Warren near Rossie, Morgan and Miss Weltha, Sioux Rapids. He was born in Canada in 1837. He was a successful farmer and had many friends. The funeral was held from the home Saturday conducted by Rev. Fillibrown of Sioux Rapids and Rev. H.W.L. Mayhood of Humboldt. The body was laid to rest in the Fannie [sic] Ferne [sic] cemetery, the cemetery of the Friends church, near, Sioux Rapids. The News extends sympathy to the family.
