Eva Winterboer, thirteen years old and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Winterboer living in Dickinson county, eight miles north of Everly, died Sunday evening about 9:30 o'clock following an operation for appendicitis at the Spencer hospital. Miss Winterboer had an attack of measles, later developing a serious appendicitis, and was rushed to the hospital Saturday morning for an immediate operation but the appendix ruptured and all that medicine and surgery could do was of no avail.

Eva was the oldest in a family of three girls. The two sisters are Gladys and Arlene. Her mother is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Bleeker of Fostoria and her father is the son of H.H. Winterboer of Everly.
