Mrs. John Mori died at her home in Everly Saturday morning Oct. 24, 1925, aged 67 years one month and two days. Caroline Mori was born Sept. 22, 1858 at Dubuque, Ia. She was baptised and confirmed in the German Lutheran church in Dubuque and lived there with her parents until her marriage to John Mori in February 1880. In April of that year they came to Clay county, the second family living in Waterford township. To this union were born five children, two girls and one boy died in infancy. Two sons George and Frank live north of Everly. Mrs. Mori moved with her husband to Everly in 1910. Besides her husband and sons she leaves to mourn her loss six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Conrad Blosch of Dubuque, three brothers, Henri Mori of Spencer, William Mori of Dubuque and Rudolph Mori of Seattle, Wash., also nieces and nephews and many friends. The sudden death of Mrs. Mori came as a great shock to her relatives and friends, she having passed away in her sleep Saturday morning without any suffering. Her death was caused by heart failure. Funeral services were held at the house on Tuesday afternoon and at the German Reformed church northeast of town, REv. Schaeffer officiating. The sister and two brothers were present, Rudolph of Seattle not being able to come. Others present were: Conrad Blosch, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Blosch, Mrs. Thomas Coats and daughter, Velma, and Mrs. Christine Fonst, all of Dubuque, Iowa.
